Our bodies and the systems that it has to filter out toxins can only work so fast. When we drink alcohol to excess we are asking too much of our bodies to clear them all out by the morning. So we need to take some actions to help us out. It is the toxins in the alcohol that cause the headache and the ill feelings that we have. Also the effect that alcohol has on and leaves us feeling dehydrated.
So some things that have proved to help get over a hangover quicker are:
* Drinking water before you go to bed if you are still able!
* Drink water in the morning to help re-hydrate our bodies.
* Pain killers certain types can help while others can make things worse.
* Sports type drinks with electrolytes will help with re-hydration.
* Taking a hot bath or sauna will help get the toxins out of the body.
There are many others but going through the above should give you some relief from your hangover. If nothing else fails go back to bed with some water to drink!
